Our quality system, managed by qualified and constantly updated personnel, focuses on conducting methodical and timely dimensional checks and is all part of a control schedule, that is, a set of procedures dedicated to each individual item being processed.

Controls are carried out along the entire production line, both for each individual process phase with digital tools, and also on the finished product using the Mitutoyo CNC 3-D measuring machine that generates the final measurement report.

An equally important part for us is the visual inspection of the finish of the parts and visual inspections under the microscope if so required by the customer.We also provide certificates of conformity of the raw materials used and the finishing treatments carried out.

CNC 3D controls are conducted in temperature-controlled metrology rooms and represent a state-of-the-art technology used to measure and verify components and products using 3D coordinating machines controlled by a numerical system and a RENISHAW motorised probe with a 360 degree inclination. This type of inspection is critical to ensuring that the parts comply with the dimensional, shape, and quality specifications established during the design and engineering phase. We deliver control reports upon request to guarantee conformity with customer specifications.

We conduct standard visual inspections during production of all the parts because, at an aesthetic level, our goal is to deliver a product to our customers that is attractive and free from scratches and dents. With this operation, all our personnel monitor any signs of wear and tear on tools and, as they are trained to handle the parts with extreme care, they also avoid aesthetic defects. Magnifiers are also used when needed, especially when controlling chamfers and counter-boring.

For customers who need to eliminate burrs from their products, we verify their absence with microscopic control of 100% of total production. The personnel who manage this phase are specially and consistently trained to carry out this delicate operation. The microscope visual inspections are carried out following special procedures dedicated to each individual product; the procedures are tested by the Quality Department and finally approved together with the Technical Department whilst entering as an integral part of the control plan.

• Raw material used: the standard procedure envisages the delivery of the Revision 2.1 Certification or, at the specific request of the customer, Revision 3.1 certification
• Heat and/or surface treatments: to ensure compliance between what the customer requires and what our qualified contractors do

The documentation accompanying the product supply is always archived and made available to customers at their request.

Training is a fundamental aspect for SIME S.R.L. in terms of continuous and constant growth (as well as for the compliance with all the related regulations), operated in synergy between the same and its “own” personnel, an increasingly important and strategic asset.

This is achieved thanks to internal and external training courses with accredited and recognised partners, with learning verification and certified attestations. Training processes are deemed complete with the participation in trade fairs, seminars, Open Houses.

The existing safety control plans are constantly monitored with the utmost care to ensure that all persons feel safe and satisfied within the company and whilst performing their duties.
