SIME s.r.l. carries out 3D processing
These refer to the machine carried out using the Esprit Hexagon program. ESPRIT offers a complete suite of milling cycles called ESPRIT SolidMill.
Milling also confirms the versatility of this program, as these cycles can be programmed on any class of CNC machine tool, both vertical or horizontal. The ESPRIT programming starts with intelligent CAD project recognition by the software that analyses the geometry of the part to identify what type of processing can be done using the machine. The CAM program will then develops the milling cycle to be set on the machine for the processing cycle. All milling cycles are adaptive and they can be adapted to suit the machine and make the most of its capabilities whilst optimising the entire processing path.
The SolidMill cycles available using the ESPRIT software are:
- Levelling: removes material on a flat surface with linear cutting passes
- ProfitMilling: high-speed roughing cycle
- Pocket: provides any combination of roughing and finishing cycles for pockets, walls and flat surfaces
- Contouring: universal machining cycle for rough and finish machining profiles, bounds, chamfers, or workpiece features
- Drilling: blind, through, deep, threaded, countersunk or counterbore holes
- Spiral processing: creates a spiral-shaped milling operation on the inside or outside of cylindrical shapes
- Threading: internal or external
- Wireframe Milling: creates 3D milling operations from 2D profiles
- Manual Milling: creates a simple milling operation along manually selected geometric elements or positions
- Engraving: creates a milling operation to engrave text
ESPRIT CAM is a high-performance machine tool system that allows operators to manage all the machining on one single interface.
